Project brings international buyers closer to Brazilian jewelry and strengthens business connections during the fair promoted and organized by IBGM.
The Precious Brazil sectorial project, an initiative between the Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (IBGM) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), has played a strategic role in promoting Brazil’s gemstone and jewelry industry abroad. One of the project’s most notable actions is bringing international buyers to FENINJER, the largest jewelry trade show in Latin America.
More than a showcase for new launches and trends, FENINJER is known for fostering qualified business opportunities, long-term relationships, and immersion in the most creative and innovative aspects of Brazilian design. This is the case for Peruvian jeweler Yvette Garcia, founder of Yvette Garcia Joyas, who has been attending the fair since 2019 and now considers it part of her professional journey.
“I love this fair. I enjoy events where I can meet the business owners and make real connections. I feel at home at FENINJER, always welcomed with warmth, coffee, and brigadeiros (brazilian dessert). Brazilian hospitality makes all the difference,” says Yvette. The jeweler, who also attends fairs in other countries such as the United States, points out that in Brazil she finds pieces with personality, innovation, and a unique identity. “The gold designs, the work with Brazilian gemstones, and the avant-garde spirit have won me over. That’s why I keep coming back,” she says.
She also highlighted the fair’s evolution: “The stands are more beautiful and well-organized, and I keep finding new and exciting surprises. Despite the rising price of gold, I see that the Brazilian market continues to invest with strength and creativity.”
Businessman Carlos Yañez Machuca, from Pietra Gold Spa in Santiago, Chile, attended FENINJER for the first time at the invitation of Precious Brazil. The experience exceeded his expectations: “I traveled with almost no expectations and I’m returning very surprised by the warmth and the high quality of everything. I’m already starting business with two Brazilian companies. I’m very grateful,” he shared.
These testimonials reflect the positive impact of Precious Brazil’s work, which promotes not only the product, but also the culture, service, and excellence of Brazilian jewelry. By connecting national brands with strategic buyers from Latin America and beyond, the project strengthens Brazil’s position as an international reference in gemstones and jewelry with unique identity, quality, and added value.
