Barokchi visited 17 companies in Soledade, reinforcing the international visibility of Brazil’s mineral hub.

The Brazilian Minerals Buyer Project — an initiative of Precious Brazil, the sectoral project led by the Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (IBGM) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) — has achieved another important milestone in its internationalization strategy for the mineral sector. The Italian company Barokchi, a reference in the production of esoteric products and decorative pieces made from natural stones, visited Soledade (RS) for an intensive agenda that included visits to 17 local mineral artifact factories.

Since 2017, the Brazilian Minerals Buyer Project has been promoting Soledade’s mineral hub internationally, connecting local companies with strategic buyers and expanding business opportunities in the decoration, interior design, furniture, and natural stone utility sectors. “Over the years, we have strengthened the global reach of Soledade’s products,” reinforces the project’s coordination team.

During the mission — held from October 19 to 24 — Barokchi representatives had the opportunity to experience firsthand the region’s production excellence, including mineral diversity, processing technology, finishing standards, and the companies’ capacity to meet international demand. The schedule included process inspections, raw material quality assessments, and business meetings with local entrepreneurs, reflecting concrete interest in building new commercial partnerships.

Visiting such a significant number of companies in a single week highlights Soledade’s global recognition as one of the world’s leading mineral processing centers. It also reaffirms the continued success of the Brazilian Minerals Buyer Project, which strengthens Brazil’s image as a reliable global supplier of quality and diversity in the natural stones and gems sector.
