The Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong, held in September, features 30 participants from Precious Brazil.

From September 16 to 20, the Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong takes place at the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) in Hong Kong, southern China. A total of 30 brands from Precious Brazil are participating in the fair. This sectoral project was created by the Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (IBGM) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), aimed at promoting Brazilian gemstone and jewelry companies abroad.

The participating companies are Atlanta Gems, Bart Gems, Beryno Gems, BC Gemas do Brasil, Belmont Mineração, BGC Brazil Gem, Brazil Paraiba Mine, Canelhas, Dreamstone, Duarte & Bastos, Empire Industries, Gembras Com e Ind, Gemextra, Itagemas, Itakolor Gemstones, J.G., JS Gems, Manoel Nogueira, Manoel Bernardes, PB Gems, Peter Valicek Gems, Pinkstones International, PM Carvings by Peter Muller, Primus Gemstones Brasil, R. Figueiredo Brazilian Gemstones, R.C. Gemas, R&R Gemas, Radaeli, Stone World, and Tavares Gems.

Celebrating 80 years of history and presence in the American, European, and Asian markets, MBernardes has high expectations for this year’s edition.

“MBERNARDES is coming in strong and prepared for this September edition. Our Paraíba tourmalines and imperial topaz speak for themselves. Simple, paired, or calibrated, we have them all,” the brand states.

Another company with high expectations is Beryno Gems, which has been in the market for 35 years and specializes in colored gemstones.

“We have high expectations for the event. The Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong is a unique opportunity to connect with new markets and strengthen our international presence. We are confident that our new creations will surprise and delight visitors,” the brand shares.

Among the other products that gem companies are showcasing at the event are emeralds, beryls, and rubellites.

The importance of the event

The region comprising China and Hong Kong is the second most relevant export destination for the Precious Brazil project.
According to data, from January to July 2024, exports to the region totaled 24 million dollars, a 50% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

The event, which features more than 40 thematic and group pavilions, is a significant meeting point for the global jewelry and gemstone industry. It takes place from September 16 to 19, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and on September 20 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (local time in Hong Kong).
