The Brazilian brand will be at The Couture Show, the premier event in the North American luxury jewelry and watch design industry, in Las Vegas.
Organic Abstraction is the name of the new collection created through the collaboration between the Brazilian jewelry brand Sauer and fashion designer Jason Wu.
Sauer is one of the participants in Precious Brazil, an initiative of the Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (IBGM) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), which will be showcased at The Couture Show, the premier event in the North American luxury jewelry and watch design industry, in Las Vegas, from May 29 to June 2, 2024.
The pieces, made with diamonds and 18k yellow gold, are inspired by organic forms and elements of wildlife. In addition to organic abstraction, notable figures in art and architecture, such as Georgia O’Keeffe, also served as sources of inspiration.
In an interview with the brazilian newspaper Estadão, Wu remarked that he found Sauer’s pieces very beautiful. “I think in fine jewelry, there are many traditional things, you know? And I think Sauer represents something I love: brilliant things and modern design, really well-thought-out.”
The objective of Precious Brazil is to promote the sector abroad, boosting exports of Brazilian products. In 2023 alone, participating companies achieved $61 million in exports to the United States, the primary market for the project.
