Project manager presents initiatives at Seminar on Gem and Precious Metal Exports
During the Seminar on Gem and Precious Metal Exports, held as part of the Foreign Trade Week of the São José do Rio Preto Metropolitan Region (SECEXP), the Precious Brazil Project, created by the Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (IBGM) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), was highlighted as a key driver in promoting Brazilian gems and jewelry companies in the international market.
The event, held on November 13 and organized by the Export Qualification Program (PEIEX) in partnership with Acirp and ApexBrasil, brought together industry entrepreneurs for an insightful discussion on the opportunities and challenges of internationalization.
Clarissa Maciel, the Precious Brazil Project Manager, showcased the initiatives developed by the IBGM in partnership with ApexBrasil, emphasizing the project’s strategic role. Through innovative actions targeting high-value international markets, Precious Brazil not only promotes Brazilian products abroad but also strengthens the sector’s competitiveness and visibility on the global stage.
The seminar also featured Waelte Ferraz, PEIEX coordinator in São José do Rio Preto, who addressed the precautions necessary during international negotiations and market access for gems and jewelry. Additionally, Sergio Cesar Iorio from Seven Metais shared his experiences and strategies for positioning Brazilian products in the global market, and Amanda Doco from Transport Serviços Internacionais provided valuable insights into the logistical procedures for exports.
With discussions ranging from the nuances of international negotiations to tailored commercial strategies for the sector, the event underscored the positive impact of Precious Brazil as a bridge connecting Brazilian talent to the global market, helping expand the reach of the country’s gems and jewelry industry.
This initiative reaffirms the mission of programs like PEIEX and ApexBrasil to promote the internationalization of Brazilian companies, demonstrating that planning, qualification, and strategic partnerships are essential for success in foreign trade.
