Participating companies gained insights and strengthened connections

Precious Brazil, a joint initiative by the Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (IBGM) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), was present at ICA Congress 2025, representing the excellence and diversity of Brazilian gemstones on the international stage.

A total of 16 participating companies took part actively in the event: Ara Vartanian, ArtOuro & Gems, Belmont, Brazil Paraiba Mine, BSB Indústria, Cemerald Brazil, Cruzeiro Mine, Empire Industries Ltd, Itagemas Ltda, JG Ltda, Mbernardes, Miranda Group, PB Gems Ltda, Petrogemas Lapidação e Comércio, and Set Stones, all of which strengthened global connections and showcased Brazil’s strength and potential in the gemstone and jewelry industry.

Held in Brasília from May 19 to 22, the ICA Congress 2025 brought together leading players from the global gemstone industry to discuss trends, challenges, innovation, sustainability, and the market’s evolving dynamics. Organized by the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA), the congress takes place every two years in a different country and is considered the most important global forum for the colored gemstone sector.

The event was a unique opportunity to highlight Brazil’s relevance in the global gemstone market. Over four days of panels and discussions, the congress gathered miners, designers, jewelers, researchers, investors, and representatives from luxury brands around the world. The theme, “Gems for Generations,” reflected the industry’s commitment to building a more sustainable, transparent, and connected future.

Throughout the congress, key topics such as traceability, environmental and social responsibility, luxury marketing, digital transformation, and the evolution of mining were deeply explored. In addition to reinforcing Brazil’s role as one of the world’s leading gemstone producers, the event further strengthened the global positioning of Brazilian companies, opening doors to new business, partnerships, and opportunities.
