Content highlights the country’s relevance as a leading producer of colored gemstones
The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) has released a special video to mark the launch of the ICA Congress 2025, which will take place in Brasília from May 19 to 22, 2025. The video underscores Brazil’s importance as one of the world’s top producers of colored gemstones and highlights why the country is the ideal location to discuss the industry’s future, expand connections, and experience its rich cultural heritage.
The event will feature companies from the Precious Brazil project, created by the Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (IBGM) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), aiming to promote Brazilian gemstone and jewelry companies internationally.
ICA Congress 2025 Highlights
The event will be held at the Royal Tulip Brasília Alvorada, located in the Brazilian capital, a city that has been recognized as a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site since 1987.
For four days, industry experts and professionals from 47 countries will gather for a packed agenda of lectures and discussions, covering topics ranging from new mining sources and technology to transparency and sustainability strategies in the supply chain.
Valuable insights from business leaders will also be presented, offering strategies to boost colored gemstone sales in the global market.

The Industry Sector Project Precious Brazil aims to support and promote Brazilian companies in the Minerals, gemstones, jewelry, and fashion accessories segments that seek to export their products, whether they are beginners, exporters, or already internationalized. Coordinated by IBGM – The Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association in partnership with ApexBrasil – Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency – the project currently serves approximately 150 companies in the industry.
