Brazilian participation in the Hong Kong trade show brought together 25 companies, reached buyers from 14 markets, and received positive feedback from 100% of participants.
Precious Brazil’s participation in JGW September (Jewellery & Gem World Hong Kong), held from September 14 to 18 at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) in Hong Kong, brought together 25 Brazilian companies and strengthened the presence of Brazilian gemstones at one of the industry’s leading international events.
Carried out by the Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (IBGM) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), Precious Brazil supported Brazilian companies at the trade show, creating opportunities to connect with buyers and industry professionals from different markets.
With 886 business contacts, an estimated US$4.23 million in immediate business opportunities, and a projected US$10.58 million in business over the next 12 months, participation in JGW September concluded with results that highlight the potential of Brazilian gemstone production and the importance of international connections in generating new business.
Brazilian Gemstones Reach Buyers from 14 Markets
Business contacts established during JGW September involved professionals from India, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, France, and Taiwan.
The diversity of markets reached highlights Hong Kong’s role as a connection point between Brazilian gemstone producers and buyers from different regions of the world, particularly Asia, which is home to major gemstone cutting, trading, and jewelry manufacturing centers.
For Brazilian companies, participation in the trade show provided an opportunity to showcase the country’s wide variety of gemstones, including their distinctive characteristics, colors, and cuts, while strengthening business relationships and identifying new export opportunities.
Positive Feedback and Interest in Future Participation
The results were also accompanied by positive feedback from participating companies. According to the post-event survey, 100% of companies rated their participation positively, and the same percentage expressed interest in returning for a future edition.
These indicators demonstrate the relevance of JGW September to the commercial strategies of Brazilian companies and the importance of maintaining international trade promotion initiatives in the Asian market.
Hong Kong in Precious Brazil’s International Strategy
JGW September is part of Precious Brazil’s international trade promotion calendar for the 2026–2028 cycle, which includes participation in international trade shows and other initiatives aimed at expanding Brazilian exports.
The presence in Hong Kong enables companies to maintain relationships with buyers from established and emerging markets, stay informed about international industry demands, and increase the visibility of Brazilian gemstones across different stages of the supply chain.
