The initiative will introduce international opinion leaders to the creativity and excellence of Brazilian jewelry during Latin America’s largest jewelry trade show.
The Joias da Amazônia Project will be one of the highlights of the Image Project promoted by Precious Brazil during FENINJER 2026. Presented to a select group of international opinion leaders attending Latin America’s largest jewelry trade show, the initiative will showcase a collection of bio-jewelry that reflects the richness of Amazonian socio-biodiversity through design, innovation, and female leadership, while reinforcing the international image of Brazilian jewelry.
The action is part of Precious Brazil, a sectoral project led by the Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (IBGM) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). As part of the sector’s international promotion strategy, the Image Project will bring international guests to FENINJER to experience firsthand the diversity, creativity, and excellence of Brazilian jewelry.
FENINJER as a Showcase for Brazilian Jewelry
Organized by IBGM, FENINJER — the National Fair of the Jewelry, Watch, and Related Industries — is recognized as Latin America’s largest jewelry trade show and the region’s leading business platform for the sector. Each edition brings together more than 120 Brazilian exhibitors alongside buyers from Brazil and abroad, creating a strategic environment for product launches, business development, and the presentation of the industry’s latest trends.
At FENINJER 2026, Precious Brazil will implement two complementary initiatives to support the internationalization of the Brazilian jewelry sector. Alongside the Image Project, which will introduce international opinion leaders to the diversity, creativity, and excellence of Brazilian jewelry, the project will also organize a Buyer Project, bringing qualified international buyers to São Paulo for business meetings with Brazilian exporting companies exhibiting at the fair. Together, these initiatives expand commercial opportunities while reinforcing Brazil’s position as a global reference for design, innovation, and quality.
Joias da Amazônia: Identity, Innovation, and Sustainability
Developed by Instituto Elabora Social, Joias da Amazônia brings together 14 women artisans from Pará representing diverse communities, including urban, quilombola, riverside, and extractive populations. Through a comprehensive training program in jewelry design, goldsmithing, and the circular economy, the initiative transforms local knowledge into contemporary jewelry with strong social, cultural, and environmental value.
The collection combines recycled aluminum with materials sourced from the Amazon, including açaí seeds, miriti, jarina, natural fibers, latex, fish scales, sustainably managed wood, and elements inspired by Marajoara and Konduri ceramics. Each creation reflects local traditions, memories, and craftsmanship, reinterpreted through contemporary design.
By featuring Joias da Amazônia within the Image Project, Precious Brazil presents international guests with a compelling example of how Brazilian jewelry unites creativity, sustainability, cultural identity, and responsible production in products designed for the global market.
The initiative also highlights the diversity of Brazil’s jewelry industry, demonstrating that the country offers the world far more than exceptional raw materials. It showcases original design, innovation, cultural heritage, and a development model that values people, local communities, and biodiversity.
Through initiatives such as Joias da Amazônia, Precious Brazil continues to strengthen the international presence of Brazilian jewelry, positioning the country as a global benchmark for creativity, sustainability, and excellence.
